We are delighted to announce that Yixing Li successfully defended her Ph.D. dissertation entitled "Hardware-friendly Deep Learning for Edge Computing" on December 16th, 2020, and will have her Ph.D. degree conferred in May 2021. 

Yixing Li started her Ph.D. study at PSCLab in Fall 2015 after receiving her Master's and Bachelor's degrees from South China University of Technology. Her Ph.D. research has been focusing on hardware-friendly deep learning methods and their accelerator architecture design with an emphasis on edge and mobile applications. Yixing's research findings have been published in 7 conference papers, 4 journal articles, and 1 U.S. patent (pending) with a total of 191 citations and an h-index of 8 as of today. She is a recipient of the Outstanding Computer Engineering (CEN) TA Award in 2017 and the CIDSE Doctoral Fellowship in 2020. 

As part of her Ph.D. experience, Yixing completed two internships with Cadence Design Systems and Adobe. Upon graduation, Yixing has joined Apple as a Machine Learning Engineer.
