Prof. Ren receives the prestigious NSF CAREER Award

Prof. Ren receives the prestigious NSF Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Award to develop data-driven and hardware-friendly compressive sensing and data analytics solutions to fulfill unmet energy efficiency needs of Internet-of-things (IoT) applications.

The NSF’s CAREER Program identifies the nation’s most promising junior faculty members and provides them with funding to pursue outstanding research, excellence in teaching and the integration of education and research.

Arizona State University has earned 14 National Science Foundation (NSF) CAREER awards, ranking second among all university recipients for 2017 and setting an ASU record. The awards total $7 million in funding for the ASU researchers over five years.
